Careers: Medical & Psychiatry/Becoming a doctor

Question
I am a 33 year old stay at home mother who put my career on hold for the past 10 years. Now that my children are old enough I am planning on returning to school with the hopes of getting into medical school. I already have my bachelor's degree but I still need to take other science courses. Recently I signed up to volunteer in the emergency room at the hospital. I completed one shift and found that I did not like it very much. I was not nauseous or timid about what I saw but at the same time I didn't really enjoy it. The duties I performed were helping patients to the bathroom, keeping company, taking blood pressure, and translating. Now I wonder if maybe I shouldn't become a doctor. I am conflicted about what I feel. I am not sure if I should continue volunteering or if I should give it one more shot.
