Question
"Hi,
I am a medical student from India. I completed my degree and am holding the provisional degree and awaiting for the final degree certificate. I am holding a valid work visa in US. Can I get any chance to continue my career in Medical field here? I am looking for continuing my medical practice under a physician. Please advice how to approach on this and any help in these areas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance."

Answer
Dear Nita,

Here is a wonderful resource provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians:

I hope you find this to be helpful.  The U.S. is anticipating a great shortage of general and family physicians as a result of our current national health care reform legislation pending in congress.  You may find this to be to your advantage in obtaining residency and attending privileges.
