Question
If you on low income but you make really good grades and you want to go to medical school, how could you pay for college?

Answer
Hi Corinna,
There are scholarships and grants available for exceptional students, as well as a number of financial aid programs for those who qualify. Try these links, or try your local college financial aid office.  The Obama Administration has pledged to make these programs more accessible and easily available for those in need and those who show the dedication to serve their communities as health care providers.  There are also a number of loan repayment programs available for doctors and health providers who choose to serve in rural and underserved communities once they graduate... You might also try a Google search for medical school grants and scholarships available in your state and local community.  These are often funded by state colleges, health care facilities, hospitals and private medical organizations or professional groups...
