Question
QUESTION: I'm 13 at the time and I make straight A's,only for B's this year,I'm getting ready to go to high school and I am african american,Indian runs in my family but I am not Indian. But I want to go to medical school and I am low income. My mom doesn't work, not because she can't but she just chooses not to.My dad is old even though he has a lot of money,a lot,I just don't want to depend on him.I signed up for this program that helps pay for medical school but I don't want to depend on it fully. So how do I pay for college or medical school?Does this mean that I can't go to college or something?

ANSWER: There are scholarships and grants available for exceptional students, as well as a number of financial aid programs for those who qualify. Try these links, or try your local college financial aid office.  The Obama Administration has pledged to make these programs more accessible and easily available for those in need and those who show the dedication to serve their communities as health care providers.  There are also a number of loan repayment programs available for doctors and health providers who choose to serve in rural and underserved communities once they graduate... You might also try a Google search for medical school grants and scholarships available in your state and local community.  These are often funded by state colleges, health care facilities, hospitals and private medical organizations or professional groups...

QUESTION: Well how can you pay for college while you are in it?

Answer
Again, scholarships, grants and student loans.  Most students can qualify for some form of financial aid, even if you are already enrolled in school.  Try your high school guidance counselor or local community college financial aid office.  The resources are endless.  You can also Google "college financial aid" and find a wealth of resources.
