Question
Hi, I want to be a counseling psychologist, and there's a collage I want to go to, but it only has "psychology" for a major, not "counseling psychology". Should I still go there?

Answer
Contact the college career counselor and ask... Counseling and clinical psychology generally require licensing and certification by the state.  General psychology degrees help you to progress into many fields of mental health.  Counseling and clinical psychology are generally graduate level fields.  Most behavioral psychologists have at least a master's level of education before entering into the counseling or clinical fields.  Counseling psychology is an option for graduate level training....
Hope this helps...
