Hi! My name is Harrison. I was wondering what I could do at my current age to better prepare myself for a career in medicine. It is one of my dreams to become a doctor. ( Specifically a pediatrician )
My age right now is 13 turning 14 in a month. I was wondering if you had any advice of what I could do to prepare myself for a career in medicine.

Hi Harrison

I am UK based so not sure how it works across the pond however, first things first - you need to get a good level of science based educational qualifications to get into medicine first and forget about specialities for now. Often, what a speciality looks like from the outside is nothing like the reality so concentrate on getting in to med school first, qualifying and then decide on the speciality. During your training you may find something else fascinating that you hadn't considered.
