QuestionHi Dr. Kanz,
I am currently a student at Barbara Brennan School of Healing working toward a bachelor's degree in Energy Healing. I would like to continue my education after my bachelor's and am considering chiropractic. I am interested in how to use the body and body positions to help heal ailments. I am unfamiliar with the health care field and do not know what other complementary care options there are. I am drawn to working with my hands on people and want whatever I study to be as holistic as possible. I know chiropractic would be a good fit, but what are my other options?
Thanks for your time!
AnswerCecelia,
Chiropractic was perhaps the first of the wholistic healing arts to go into the mainstream and seek validation through licensing and achieving both state and federal regulation. Chiropractic colleges are accredited by both regional and national accrediting agencies, and they remain the only institutions of higher education that emphasise the natural model of healing while integrating current medical technology, differential diagnosis and complementary care methods. Manual therapy in addition to acupuncture, naturopathy, homeopathy and massage are all elective or core aspects of chiropractic education. Many schools also provide accredited degrees and certifications in these fields in addition to the doctor of chiropractic degree. If this sounds like a good fit for you, follow this link (Q&A), and contact the CCE accredited schools for more information:
