Question
Hello,

Maybe you will find it funny, but I just would like to find a nice and not too cold place to establish. My work allows me to travel a lot and I can install in almost every place in the world. So my question is:

Which are the places, from a meteorological point of view, that have winters not too strong (<5°C) or not too longs (>3 months).

I have already though in everything between the tropics, but I don't take in account all the aspects that make weather change (wind, sea, gulf stream, etc). At the same time, I appreciate the 4 seasons. I find some places in Italy nicer than Madrid, where you can suffocate of heat for 5 months per year. I know it is not possible to make "annual forecast" for the whole planet in two lines! Especially with the crazy climate changes we're living now. I just trust in your experience and would like a whole view of the situation.

Currently I'm living in Amsterdam. Nice place, but 5 months under 10°C and not too much sun, is a bit depressing.

Thanks in advance!

Ana

P.S. This answer can be also useful for those who want to go on holidays!

Answer
Hi Ana

The problem with your question is that there are too many other variables (such as politics, wealth, crime, etc) that enter into the desirability question.

Generally speaking, climate wise, in the USA, San Diego is considered a very nice place to live.
