Question
how accurate are meteorologists predictions?
do you actually measure it yourself?
did u like being a meteorologist?
what kind of education did u need?
do you know anything about humidity and dew point and air temp?

Answer
Erica:

I don't know about other offices, but in the various offices I worked, we averaged 95 to 97% correct.

In nearly all offices, the forecast is verified by a person who was not a forecaster.

I am now fully retired, but in retrospect, I cannot see myself doing anything else.  I loved the work, and had fun doing it.

For most jobs in the weather office, you need at least a college degree in Meteorology. For some positions you need a Masters Degree.

Yes I know a lot about Humidity, dew point, and Air Temp.
