Question
I went to MEPS and my blood pressure read pretty high, but when I went to the 5 day test it was fine everyday. I was still denied a waiver from MEPS and it was sent to the SG for approval. My question is what are my chances of getting this waiver and how long does it normally take? Other than that it's the only thing holding me back.
Please help. Thank you
Judd

Answer
If the CMO sent it to the SG its because he can not make the determination, it falls under the SG criteria. There were very few that were turned down that I can remember. They run your info thru the gauntlet of docs there. Normally this can take up to 30 days depending on the back log. The SG does waivers for ALL the military so this is why it can take a while. These Docs know that there are folks out there who normally have a "high" reading BP. the SG reviews this based on the CMO's recommendations. IF your BP is outside the normal tolerances, there is a chance that you may be bumped. But think positive!!
