 Likely no.  However only a qualified medical professional could answer the question more fully.  But if the condition occurs after enlistment, full treatment options will be persued prior to any discharge being considered.

He'll have to see his local Corpsman who will refer him to the nearest medical facility.

The second scenario is just a hypothetical because, again, I'm not a medical professional and have no idea about the types of treatment or anything else for this condition.  It may be a simple solution and easily treatable if it's even an issue at all.   It may be more complicated but I just don't know.

Quite simply, this Marine needs to go to medical ASAP and get checked out.  Things will go from there.

Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years. I"ve been collecting and selling Marine Corps and other military uniforms, medals, and field gear since I was 8 years old.
