Question
Once you end your EAS if your unit was overseas and rates medals how do you go about updating your DD214

You would need to check with the VA to confirm this, but I always seem to remember that, once your career is "closed", any changes to your official military records or DD214 can only be done through the Application for Correction of Military Records. Here is a link ...

I need to do the same myself, as I have three air medals and a MSM to get into my records. I got the MSM at retirement and the three air medals were still at CENTCOM being processed (I did a lot of combat flying in the Middle East just prior to retirement).
