Question
I was given a entry level sepration due to my SGT Major not taking me in to her unit due to her finding out I was arrested for impersonating an officer. She let me know that the reason she didnt accpet me or retain me was because she was a cop and she felt that it was disrspectful to her and what the badge means to her. She then stated that she was over stacked for her unit and she had no room for me. I felt she was speaking from emotions and not from the job she is holding now.  The charges were dropped and the case dismissed, I paid for it to b xpunged off my record but has not yet. I revealed these things to my recruiter and nothing had been done, no waiver nothing. Is there anything I can do about that and can I enlist again to the army or another branch?

Answer
Timothy:

I'm guessing impersonating a police officer?  That was stupid, needless to say.  Well, regardless, you'll have to have it expunged entirely from the record, to begin with.  Once that's done, you'll have to get a waiver.

I'm not sure how a SgtMaj can 'not take you' into their unit, unless this is a reserve situation.

If you got an admin sep for Fraudulent enlistment, then you'll have to wait at least a year (if not longer) until you try again.

Expertise

Questions relating to US Marine Corps; rank, awards, uniforms, career choices. I can also help people spot and expose fakes (people pretending to be Marines or have awards they didn`t earn). Considering the Marines as a career? Or another branch, like the Air National Guard? Drop me a line. HOWever..know that I am NOT a recruiter. I can offer my expert opinion and advice, but can't (and won't) over rule what a recruiter says, they are the 'on duty' expert.
