Question
I was a FMF corpsman served 5 years 2 months was put on TDRL and found FIT after 3 years. I elected to re enlist and re enter on active. I am running into a lot of problems with the recruiters The have told me many times NAVETS are a "hassle" and they didn't have time now, come back in a few weeks. I know I am used to the "Marine" side of the house but this to me is a huge let down of duty's. I have contacted PERS and they are trying to correct and train the recruiter station via phone calls but now the recruiters are angry that I "jumped the Chain" and are doing everything in the power not to help. I was told from PERS I needed a MEPS physical and than go to TPU Great Lakes for 45 days to get uniform re issue, Pay and paperwork, than orders. Is there anything I can do to speed this up and do I need to report in uniform to TPU.Is there anything I am missing in the process. Thank you

Answer
easy enough, the recruiter you are dealing with is a dirtbag.  Dump him, find another recruiter that will work with you.  If you have issues still, call your congressman office, easy to find on the web.  Things happen very quick.  I have had my own applicants call their congressman to get things rolling when I was stonewalled in a process.  It works.

good luck and thanks for serving and wanting to serve again.

Expertise

I am a National Guard recruiter , been doing it for seven years and am a subject matter expert on qualifications for National Guard and I keep up to date on Regular Army regs and programs. I was in the Navy for 4 years and have 13 years in the Guard. I will not sugar coat my answers to you. They are usually short and to the point. If you need more in depth, ask me. Because each situation is different, alot of times you need to actually talk to a recruiter and let them evaluate your situation in person, by looking at your documents, issues etc. If I suggest this, it would be in your best interest to do so. Finally...thank you for your interest in serving this great nation of ours. Very few people can actually make the cut to serve let alone choose to do so. So thank you for wanting to and hopefully you will get a chance. Whatever branch you choose, thank you and good luck.
