Question
Am i able to transfer to reseves if my intial active duty contract is not finished. Im trying to get the best medical help for my belemia and feel as if im close to my family and expert help on this condition would help in my getting better. Im NOT looking to get out of the military.
Dear Taren --
You cannot transfer to the reserves if your initial active commitment is not completed.
However you can request a compassionate reassignment to a military base closer to your home, if a cure for your illness can occur within 12 months.
