Question
Someone told me that if a person has had any hip or spinal fractures
(even if there was no surgery) that the military will automatically deny enlistment.  Is that really true?  I had fractures on my hips and tailbone three years ago in a car accident.  I am not sure if I would ever actually join - I was just curious if a person would really be denied under that circumstance.  Thanks for answering my question.

Answer
Dear Brandi --

Yes, you would be disapproved for enlistment based on your medical history.  However, depending on how you have healed, and what kind of proof you have about your current physical prowess, you might be granted a medical waiver to enlist.

Good luck to you.
