QuestionFollow-up.
I first got a DD-214 that says Honorable discharge for basic training and MOS school.
Then i moved out of my home state to attend college and was given a Report of seperation record says line #9 command to which transfered, USAR control group.
Line # 18 (Remarks)Soldier was assigned to USAR control group (annual training) for completion of 5 years 10 months. Soldier was discharged without personal notice due to constructive notification. Forms were mailed to soldiers last known address. NGR 600-200 Para 7-23 (2) Bar to reenlist. Nothing follows.
Line 23 Authority and reason, Para 8-27f NGR 600-200 Unsatisfactory Participant Sep code CW
Line 24. General Discharge Line 25 NGB form 56a
Line 26. RE-3.
Then I have orders from the USAR control dated 2001 that says I have an honorable discharge.
Can you explain this? Can I get an Federal law enforcement job? What kind of discharge do I have? Can I re-enlist?
Thanks again.
-Mike
AnswerDear Mike --
I rejected your previous question, but the answer I appended is correct based on this information. Your service will not limit your job opportunities. You may characterize it as honorable based on your most recent discharge.
Good luck to you.
