The papers form when my husband went to meps shows a first unit of assignment.  The assignment says EUR8.  I know thats Europe, but dont know where.  Any ideas?  Is it guaranteed?

As long as your husband passes all his courses and is not guilty of misconduct, his European assignment is guaranteed.  However, he did not receive a pinpoint assignment, so he will not know exactly where he is going until either it is stated on his permanent change of station (PCS) orders which he will get close to graduation from his advanced individual training, or when he arrives at the replacement detachment in Europe.
