Question
will going to the airforce help me become a commercial airline pilot

Answer
Dear Dwight --

If you qualify for flight training in the Air Force, and pass all yout training through flight training, you are a pilot.  Once you completed your service obligations (many years), you could apply to a commercial air line as a pilot.  You would re-train on commercial aircraft.

Good luck to you.
