Question
Is it possible to be transferred from an active duty soldier to the reserves? and if possible how would you go about doing so?

Answer
Dear Jessica --

If you are at the end of your current enlistment, then you can re-enlist for the reserves.  You will need to find a reserve unit in a state where you want to live that has a billet in your MOS at your rank.

As an active duty Soldier, you must complete your current enlistment.  You cannot get out of an active duty service obligation by transferring to the reserves.

Good luck to you.
