Question
Sir,
I am in the Army National Guard, but i realized that there is no one from the Army on this site to answer my question. So i was hoping that you would maybe be able to help.
My question is, i have recently developed Migraines ( i get about 2 or more a week) sometimes they keep me from work,( i work full time for the Army) so i was think that i would get discharged, which in my life right now would actually be a good thing. So i was wondering if a person could actually be Discharged from the military because of migraines? and the kind of discharge it would be? i would ask some of the people i work with but they don't know how unhappy I am  with the way my life is and don't know that if  i have the option of getting out that i would.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and respond.

Answer
Crystal,

If you are having sudden headaches, you need to be checked out to rule out any other possibilities. Migraines are more hereditary than anything....My wife and her mother has them as do my daughters. There may be something casuing them.... Do get discharged because of the headaches, you have to have the mediocal documentation to back it up anyway.

Thats the first step, get in to the doc...get it in your records...

Find the cause if possible.

I have spent the past 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, 3 years was assigned as an Enlisted Accessions Recruiter. I have been deployed various times to several locations. If it is a career in the military you are looking for or thinking about I most likely have the answer. I still have contacts with in the recruiting field and if I don't know the answer then I have folks who do where I can find the answer. I am very blunt and straight forward and will make no attempts to BS you. I will give you the best information that I possible can can. If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
