Question
Is the Navy calling up Officers(or anyone) from the IRR ? (Yet?) Or are they only taking volunteers ? It seems to be a well-kept secret.... With 12-1/2 good years, and a SEL-RES, am trying to decide whether to resign or just go IRR. Don't want to be recalled, so weighing the risk...
Dear Michael --
The Navy is calling up IRR officers in certain specialties for service around the world. If you absolutely do not wish to be recalled to active duty. I recommend you resign your commission.
