Question
hello. I was discharged out of basic (army) in '04 for asthma. I also
have a very slight hearing loss in my left ear and some minor knee
problems, knee and ear problems have both been dealt with for 2 enlistments.
I've been jumping through hoops to re enlist for the past year. my old
Recruiter said it wouldn't be a problem but I moved to Ohio and got a
new recruiter that is about to retire so he doesn't give a rats a$$ if
I get back in or not. I've done ALOT of work to get back in, doctors
note that said I'm good to go, lost 20 lbs, called every place that has
ever had my med board review papers from benning all the way to st
Louis, fought with the archives for 3 months to find the papers they said
they did not have. etc... I have to get back in and I feel like my new
Recruiter is going to let me down. do you have any advice?? the army is
all that I am. and all that I have ever been. my father was a ranger, he
raised me to be a soldier, its all I really know how to do. and all I
want to do.

Answer
Dear Stanley --

Go to a nearby town and a new recruting center, and get a new recruiter.  As you know, every recruiter is different.  Find one that will work with you to make this happen, if it is possible.

Good luck to you.  Thank you for your service.
