Question
I am currently enlisted AF Korling, and trying to make decisions on my future with the AF. I have a degree from UGA in History and plan on finishing my CCAF by the end of this year. With my back ground in Intel will this help me in my application to be commissioned? I also wanted to know if being a Korling would restrict me into that career path of Intel once I became commissioned. I would like to move away from the Korean language if at all possible, I'm proficient, but I would prefer to excel at something different. If you have any info on how often and for how long Intel officers get deployed that would be great as well. I've been searching and haven't found anything specific as of yet. Thanks for your time.

Answer
Well being a linguist is in the nature of the intelligence world, the best thing to do is talk to the officers that YOU work with. Thats more than likely where you will be working. If you are tiured of Korean, try another language...Make yourself more diversified...

I still have contacts with in the recruiting field and if I don't know the answer then I have folks who do where I can find the answer. I am very blunt and straight forward and will make no attempts to BS you. I will give you the best information that I possible can can. If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
