Question
Hello my name is Steve I am currently in the Air Force I have made it through basic and tech school for security forces and through basic and tech school I had pain in my left hip and Its gotten to the point were if I do any type of physical activity I have to limp around all day due to the pain. I havent gone to the doctors yet but I am trying to make an appointment to go and see them so my question is if they find out that I have arthritis will they try and give me a discharge or will they try and help me out with physical therapy?

Answer
How do you know its arthritis? It could be something entirely different. WIll the boot you...mabe, but I do know that if you tell them that you want to stay in, they can let you...Mostly depends on you. On the other hand, they have the option to medically retire you based on the fact that it may be service connected... Have it checked out.. You are on the right track.

I am very blunt and straight forward and will make no attempts to BS you. I will give you the best information that I possible can can. If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
