Question
I was just curious on how come i can get recalled still out of my on will, but i wanted to reenlist but couldnt because I'm on summary probation for a wet and wreckless driving, i know i made a mistake, but isnt it strange that i cant reenlist but i can sure get recalled even because of the summary unsupervised probation
Well thats whats called the NEEDS of the service you are in the IRR for. The service has to honor the original contract that they signed with you . This includes the 4 years of inactive service. This just means that you are in a names data abse and IF they need you they will recall you. Now if the service recalled you , this doesnt mean that they will accept you...you have to go thru the same prequalifying factors you did when you first enlsited....

I have spent the past 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, 3 years was assigned as an Enlisted Accessions Recruiter. I have been deployed various times to several locations. If it is a career in the military you are looking for or thinking about I most likely have the answer. If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
