Question
I was wondering, if I have asthma but haven't had a single problemwith it since I was about 12, but my parents have bought the medication for it, can I still join? Joining the Marines is the only thing I can see myself doing in life at this point. Please help me!

No, not usually. If you've ever been diagnosed with asthma, that is almost always a disqualifier for enlistment into any branch of the service. You can attempt to get your family doctor to write a letter saying you no longer have it, and haven't had any issues with it since you were 12, but the gov't may, or may not, accept it. Talk to a recruiter who will be able to outline exactly what you need to do.

Did a hitch in the Army reserves as an 11B (Infantryman), 3 years. Finished out my career in the Air National Guard as a BioEnvironmental Engineer MOS 4B3X1, did that for a few years.
