Question
Hi Jason,
Maybe you can answer a few questions regarding deployment on ships.
1. Is more then one deployment a requirement or volunteer duty or both?
2. When the sailor is deployed does their pay increase such as no tax taken out and any special bonuses regarding deployment.
3. Where can i get comprehensive information regarding answers to these questions.
Sorry about the list of questions, any help would be greatly appreciated.

No problem.
1: You deploy when the ship deploys or goes to sea, depends on the rotation. They try and give sailors time at home in between deployments.
2: Yes, the sailor gets sea pay, but the tax free stuff is only in an iminent danger zone or combat area. Sea pay is based on rank and time at sea.
3: Talk to a recruiter. You can also hit the navy website.
