Question
I'm about to graduate from college, i have made good grades and have lots of recommendations of high standing people, but while in college i have got into a little bit of trouble such as a dwi which was dropped down to a dui and i only payed a fine, a possession of marijuana which was dismissed, and a simple assault family violence (me and my old roommate got into a fight) which was deferred. Is it still possible to become an officer in any branch or is it hopeless. I know some of this looks bad but i have grow alot i mean when these occurrences took place i was still young and immature ( basically your average college student just a little unlucky lol)

First, apologies for the delay in my answer, I'm deployed to Texas for awhile.

Your criminal background is going to be somewhat of an issue.  I would talk to an officer recruiter from whichever service you are interested in, and see what they say.  Much of what you have might be waiverable.  However, I would say it's going to be a tough road to try and achieve at this point.  You might try going the enlisted route first and see how it goes from there.

Expertise

Questions relating to US Marine Corps; rank, awards, uniforms, career choices. I can also help people spot and expose fakes (people pretending to be Marines or have awards they didn`t earn). Considering the Marines as a career? Or another branch, like the Air National Guard? Drop me a line. HOWever..know that I am NOT a recruiter. I can offer my expert opinion and advice, but can't (and won't) over rule what a recruiter says, they are the 'on duty' expert.
