Answer
Unfortunately this is one of those times where something has to bend. I can understand that she likes the school that she is at, but there are good schools in Texas for Law. Here are some that I found...

• SMU, Dedman School of Law - Dallas, TX
    Law School's Rankings

• The University of Texas at Austin, School of Law - Austin, TX
    Law School's Rankings

• University of Houston Law Center - Houston, TX
    Law School's Rankings

• Baylor Law School - Waco, TX

• South Texas College of Law - Houston, TX

• St. Mary's University School of Law - San Antonio, TX

• Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law - Houston, TX

• Texas Tech University School of Law - Lubbock, TX

• Texas Wesleyan University School of Law - Fort Worth, TX

The way I see it is she can either transfer to a school that is closer to you...or stay in Virginia and finish her law degree and you see each other when you can. The ARMY will not bend unless you apply for an assignment closer to home. Becasue honestly....as long as she gets the degree, does it really matter where the degree comes from...

I still have contacts with in the recruiting field and if I don't know the answer then I have folks who do where I can find the answer. I am very blunt and straight forward and will make no attempts to BS you. I will give you the best information that I possible can can. If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
