How can I find out if a friend has REALLY joined the army??? Last I knew he was a 9th grade dropout, with no GED and a very bad drug user with a record for theft.How would this man get into the army? I heard from his friend that he's stationed in Missouri at Fort Leonardwood or something like that. Are they taking anyone in the service? His name is Joshua Andrew Welty. Thanks so much!
You would be suprised who get in... But is his record varified? They do background checks in the services. If he has the bad record you say he does then they would have found it. Chances are he is pulling your leg about being in the service. He may be living around the area but if he didnt have at least a GED, then he is not in the service...non of the services will take folks with out at least a GEG and some college time any more. The army is the only one, but its a long shot....

I have spent the past 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, 3 years was assigned as an Enlisted Accessions Recruiter. I have been deployed various times to several locations. If it is a career in the military you are looking for or thinking about I most likely have the answer. I still have contacts with in the recruiting field and if I don't know the answer then I have folks who do where I can find the answer. If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
