Question
Hi Mr. Lorenz, I have already been accepted to the United States Air Force Academy and I recently received a blood pressure test and my reading was rather high.  If when I get up there my Blood pressure still reads rather high will I be sent home?

Answer
Not necessarily right away. There is alot of factors involved, They make usre that you are no suffering from "Whitecoat" syndrome first. They also make every effort to make sure that the diagnosis of HBP or prehypertension is correct. A regular coarse of exercise and diet will help with high blood pressure as well. Its done wonders for mine. They also look at what you do to maintain your pressures as well. There are folks in the Air Force who are on the medication to maintain HBP. The next time you get tested, make sure that you are hydrated and that you are completely relaxed...
