Question
I'M TRYING TO GET BACK IN THE CORPS BUT I KNOW IS NOT GOING TO BE EASY,FOR WHEN I GOT OUT I HAD 14 YEARS AND SOME CHANGE NOT TO MENTION THAT I WAS A SGT. BUT I'M NOT LOOKING TO BE ACTIVE JUST RESERVES. I KNOW YOU ARE PROBABLEY WONDERING WHY DID I GET OUT WELL THE LASD WAS HIRING AND BABY NEED NEW FRESH AIR.AND THE IDEA OF A FOURTH TOUR IN IRAQ WAS NOT VERY APPEALING. I CONTACTED THE PRIO-RECRUC. BUT BASICALLY SAID I WILL CALL YOU AND I'M STILL WAITING. SO SHOULD I PUSH THE ISSUE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS OR IS THERE OTHER AVENUES OF APPROACH OR WHO CAN I CONTACT

Answer
Dear Fernando --

I recommend you go to a Marine Corps or Joint Service recruiting center and talk to a recruiter there.  You will get more attention in person than you will from calling.  Bring your DD 214 with you, so they recruiter can see the nature of your discharge and your re-enlistment code.

The Marine Corps reserve is still looking for good people.  If you do not mind losing some rank to return, you should be able to get back in fairly quickly.

Good luck to you.  Thank you for your service.
