Question
Hello, I know you are in the Airforce but I can't find anyone on here in the Marine Corps. It only shows three experts under the Military catagory. But anyway, I want to join the Marines but my eyesight is kinda bad. One eye is fine but the other is 20/300. With glasses, my left eye is 20/20 and my right eye is 20/40. Will I be able to enlist into the Marine Corps with my vision?

Answer
The air force allows eye sight to be as bad as 20/400 corrected with a refraction of 8.0. I am not 100% positive if this is a DOD allowance. THe Air Force has the more restrictive rules as far as entry level standards. You should be fine, but the only way is to get in  and get to the MEPS so that they can test your eyes...

If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do.
