Question
I'm interested in joining the marines but have a couple of things holding me back.   I have quite a bit of tattoos none on my saluting arm, most are not showng but I do have a large tattoo on my left fore arm what's the chance of getting that waived and  being able to enlist? Also if I have not had an asthma attack past the age of 13 and I'm in boot camp and have an asthma attack what happens to me?

Answer
If the tattoo does not cover 25% of the exposed body part its allowable. If you have an attack in BMT you are discharged as not Medically suitable. Its what they call an EPTS discharge, its general under honorable conditions..unless they find that you withheld information.... But if you have not had an attack since after age 13 you should be fine....

If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
