What if a child has ADHD can they join the Marine Corps?
Yes...they just cant be on the medication for ADHD... I know sounds stupid, but the regulations do not allow for the medication.
To enter military service they have to be off the medication for year...most children grow out of ADHD or learn to deal with it with out the medication by the late teens. I have had two of my four that have opted to quit taking the meds and both are doing fine in school although they are not getting stellar grades they are passing. The regulations were written back when ADHD was virtually unknown and unheard of.

If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
