Question
If i go into the Nation Guard and my MOS is a MP, When i return home would i be able to become a police officer? or would bein a MP mean nothing?

Answer
Dear Steven --

With military police experience, and good recommendations from your leaders, you would be a good candidate for a police force.  However, you will still have to attend and pass their police academy in order to join the local police force.  So being an MP gives you some additional consideration for your application, but your performance at the police academy will make or break you.  Also, the police force must be accepting new recruits.  If there are no job openings, no amount of prior service as an MP will matter.

Good luck to you on both accounts: military service and joining a police force.
