Question
i recently was about to enlist in the airforce but backed out when i found out i was colorblind and only had a few jobs availible to me. i heard the army has more opportunities for people who are colorblind. so i was wondering what jobs are there in the army that colorblind people CANNOT do.(i scored an 82 on the ASVAB and am in great physical conditioning), thanks for the help

Answer
Dear Dan --

Although the Army does have a lot of jobs that color blind Soldiers can do, I am  not an active recruiter, so I cannot tell you which jobs are currently open to recruits with your qualifications.

You can chat with an Army recruiter, if you go to this web site:
http://www.goarmy.com/ChatIndex.do?redirect=true

The recruiter can tell you what is open for you currently, and what is permanently closed to you because you are color blind.

Remember that military occupational specialties (MOSs) or jobs, open every month as Army needs change.  If a specialty that you qualify for isn't available this month, check back next month, it may be open.

Good luck to you.  Thank you for considering military service.
