Question
my husband wants to reclass will we dependents be able to go to training with
him?

Answer
Dear Claudia --

Unless the training is over six months, and therefore a permanent change of station (PCS) move, you will not move to the training base with your husband. He will attend training in a temporary duty (TDY) status.  However, the military will move you to the new duty station from your current location once your husband completes his training.

If your husband receives orders for TDY for training enroute to his new duty station, you have the option of moving with him to the temporary location (at your own expense), staying where you currently are, or moving immediately to the new duty location.  Each option has its benefits and its disadvantages.  The best choice will depend on your family's circumstances.

Please write back, if you have additional questions.  Good luck to you all, I thank your husband for his service.
