Question
im stationed in Camp pendleton,CA.I live in Virginia in I have a POV so i have to drive home.I want it to know will i get paid for the trip

Answer
Dear Rashad --

Yes, you will be paid for your travel.  However, it's the military's discretion whether to reimburse you for the trip by automobile, or to only reimburse you up to the cost of flying you from California to Virginia.

If you are at a low rank, or are still a trainee, and you were not authorized to have a car at your duty station, you will likely be authorized reimbursement up to the airfare and incidental expenses such as taxi to and from the airport.

If you were authorized an auto at your duty station, you should talk to the personnel center cutting your discharge orders and ensure travel by POV is specified for travel to your new location.

I am sorry to hear you are getting an other than honorable discharge.  Good luck in the future.
