Question
I have a mild case of eczema. Because of this I need a waiver from MEPS. They got my paperwork over 70 days ago, which included a signed statement from a doctor stating the mildness of my eczema. Is there anything I can do to get a responce? I have avoided making any commitments So that I will be free to go when I am called in. I would Hate to see all thins time wasted.
Well I for one would be standing on your recruiters desk to fond out what the delay is.... What I believe is that they have sent it to the surgeon generals office and this does take time, but your recruiter shold be checking daily to see what the outcome is and if they can find out what the heck is going on. I have seen packages get lost on his desk.... only to be found way after the applicant has decided to leave and has hbeen DEP discharged. Make him find out the status... Untill you are in BMT, he works for you.

I have spent the past 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, 3 years was assigned as an Enlisted Accessions Recruiter. I have been deployed various times to several locations. If it is a career in the military you are looking for or thinking about I most likely have the answer. I still have contacts with in the recruiting field and if I don't know the answer then I have folks who do where I can find the answer. If you think that you cant handle the answer that I give you, then don't ask the question...... If you are planning on joining the military, your number 1 decision factor in making this kind of move is that you need to be more concerned about serving your country than your country serving you!! All the benefits are the best that you can find. Education is at a premium right now and its the most rewarding thing that you can do. If I dont answer right away probably means that I am busy, but have patience, I will get to you.
