Question
if you are going to be a first time freshmen undergraduate student and you want to do ROTC however you plan to get married in a few months are you still allowed to get married and carry out the 4 year ROTC program? or will they not allow you to commission if you are married?

Answer
Dear Terrell --

Although I don't recommend getting married as a freshman in college, there is nothing that precludes you from being married as a scholarship cadet in ROTC.  Only the military academies have a prohibition concerning marriage and their cadets or midshipmen.

Good luck to you.
