Question
I am a soldier in the U.S. Army and I have recently had surgery on my ankle. I injured myself on duty doing my job. I have had other injuries also all of them on duties...such as problems with my knee, torn Achilles attendant, pulled hamstring. I was curious how hard would it be for me to get a medical discharge and how would I go about doing that. I also wanted to know what the difference between a med 200 and a med 400 is? I would also like to know what you think I could possibly get as a percentage?

Answer
Dear Shawn --

You cannot get a medical discharge, if the Army fixed your injuries and determined you fit for service.

If you are fit for service you can only get out at your normal termination of service date.

I do not know what you are referring to concerning med 200 and med 400.

Good luck to you.
