Question
I am currently in the Marine Corps and am trying to find information on an interservice transfer in order to apply for BUD/S. I found on NCP.navy.mil information only for officers. Is there anyway i would be able to transfer into the navy upon re enlistment with a year out in order to have a chance to go to BUD/S. Any information on an interservice transfer for enlisted personnel would be appreciated.

I was unaware of any option to leave the Marines early to transfer to BUD/s, even for officers, so you've found out something I didn't know.  From everything I've ever heard, if you wanted to do that option, you had to wait until your EAS, then enlist in the Navy.  Interservice transfers are few and far between, and with the exception of the 'blue to gold' navy to army program, I'm not aware of ANY that allow enlisted Marines to transfer.

I'd suggest actually talking to a Navy recruiter and see what they might know about it.

Remember one thing, tho, if you drop from BUD/S (it has a 70 percent washout rate, still), you'll go into the regular navy, where ever they need you, for the duration of your enlistment.  Keep that in mind.

Questions relating to US Marine Corps; rank, awards, uniforms, career choices. I can also help people spot and expose fakes (people pretending to be Marines or have awards they didn`t earn). Considering the Marines as a career? Or another branch, like the Air National Guard? Drop me a line. HOWever..know that I am NOT a recruiter. I can offer my expert opinion and advice, but can't (and won't) over rule what a recruiter says, they are the 'on duty' expert.
