Question
Hello.
Iam currently enlisted in the National Guard since the summer of 08. I have not yet left to basic which is a month. As of November I have been diagnosed with ADD and taking Vyvanse 30MG. I was wondering will this discharge me or disqualify or possibly wavier me since I have not been to basic? And if so, who would I speak to about getting more information about it.What would be the process of getting discharged or waviered? If theres any way you can help me I would appreciate.

Thank you.

Answer
Dear Angelica --

Since you are already in and being treated for your condition.  You do not need a waiver.

If you had this condition when you enlisted, and you hid it, then you can be charged with fraudulent enlistment.

Good luck to you in basic training.
