Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/Advice for Fighting RE4 Code

Question
Hello, Mr. Powers.  Last year I was denied reenlistment into the Marine Corps despite serving over 15 years.  I received an honorable discharge and an RE4 reenlistment code (JBK1 separation code).  I desperately wish for the RE4 code to be changed so that I may purse enlistment in another branch of service.  Last year, I submitted a DD293 to the Navy Board for the Correction of Military Records and await an answer.  Do you have any other suggested courses of action that may enable me to wear an American military uniform again?  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Edward,

There is ONLY one way to change an RE Code, and that's the DD Form 293 process. I know of no other way.
