Question
Can i join the army if i was discharged from the air force for failing a drug test

Answer
Hello Dalton,
Ok a few questions I have for you first. What was your discharge code? On your DD 214 there should be an RE code on there and what type of discharge was it? Was it an Honorable, dishonorable etc etc? Odds are if you are looking to get back in the military you are going to have a long journey ahead of you. The standards are a lot harder now do to the fact that there are more recruits than there are slots available because of the economy. My advice contact a recruiter and be completely honest with him, don't lie tell him the circumstances because if you do the slim chance you do have will go out the window.
If you have anymore questions please let me know.
Thanks,
Eric
