Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/CMO Med DQ letter

Question
In 1997 I received a metal plate on a hairline fracture of my jaw. I've had no issues with it in 12 years, yet just received a DQ letter from the CMO. Does this mean a waiver is unobtainable? I doubt that I can find a oral surgeon that would be willing to remove it, but would be willing to have that surgery done if I had to, as I'm That motivated for enlistment. I have no other issues that I'm aware of as far as processing, pulled a 92 ASVAB, and am working on ensuring I can meet all pre-bct physical standards.

Answer
Robert,
I admire your dedication but when the CMO says no it means he's not willing to issue you a waiver.  Earning a 92 on the ASVAB is great.  That means you're qualified to do just about anything.  Try the other military branches if you're not choosy.  Each branch has their own Surgeon General.  I'm sure one of them would jump at the chance to take you, and maybe you won't even need a waiver with them.
Talk to the recruiter of your choice and see what he can do for you.
