Question
I just read that the boost program is gone. I was just wondering, what the you need to get into the mecep program for the marine corp now. Thank you

Answer
Michael,
Here's a direct quote from the regs:

Marines must apply for admission with a declared academic major to a college or university. Marines must then forward their letter of unconditional acceptance, which must also specify their major to the commanding general, marine corps recruiting command (MCRC ON-E), 3280 Russell Road, Quantico VA 22134.  Marines who fail to comply with this requirement will be disenrolled from MECEP.  It is essential that marines selected, contact the marine officer instructor at their desired school for admissions assistance.

Regarding acceptance.  Orders will not be issued without an unconditional letter of acceptance.  Once permanent change of station orders (pcso) are issued, marines will not be issued additional moves for the duration of their participation in MECEP.

MECEP selectees are required to attend the MECEP Preparatory School conducted at Quantico, VA, (approximately 2 months).  No waivers of MECEP Preparatory School will be entertained.

All marines selected for MECEP must agree to extend, reenlist or augment as necessary to have 72 months of obligated service in the Regular Marine Corps upon assignment to college and must maintain a minimum 48 months on their enlistment contract through graduation, and commissioning from their assigned college or university.  Marine must have approval prior to reporting to the MECEP Preparatory School.  It is noted that selection for MECEP does not constitute approval of marine's reenlistment or augmentation requests. Marines are not authorized to detach from their command unless they have met this obligated service requirement.

Final assignment to MECEP is contingent upon the selectee being determined physically qualified for the program, maintaining professional conduct, and performance upon arrival at the MECEP Preparatory School, or NROTC unit.

Pre-commissioning physical documents submitted with applications of selected marines will be evaluated by mcrc (on-e), and forwarded to the bureau of medicine and surgery for determination of physical qualification.  Marines must be class 1 or 2 dental, and world-wide deployable.  All dental defects to include correction of cavities, caps, root canals, and appliances/orthodontics must be corrected/removed prior to reporting into the MECEP Preparatory School/NROTC unit.
