Careers: Military--Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coast Guard/Which branch to join

Question
I have been seriously considering joining the marine corps or the army for a long time. I have a lot of marines in my family, including my father, so that has always been my first choice. I'm recently engaged, so now I have that to consider as well. I guess that my question is that would one branch be better for my situation than the other. I have talked to recruiters from both branches and still can't decide. Thanks for your time

Answer
It all comes down to your personal choice. There is no difference in entitlements or pay for being married in one service or another. Talk to both recruiters and ask them about career fields and potential bases to go to. See which ones appeal to you more and join that service.

Expertise

I am currently an active duty Army Captain in the Military Police Field. I have been enlisted (Military Intelligence) and attended The United States Military Academy at West Point. I can answer questions related to the Army, posting, jobs, lifestyle, workings... pretty much anything you can throw at me with the exception of very specific recruting or medical questions. I have no expertise in what it takes to get in the military other than the fact that I, myself, joined at one point in time.

Experience

I have experience in both deployed and garrision environments as a Military Police Officer.

Education/Credentials
Bachelor of Science in Arabic and French from United States Military Academy at West Point.
